well there is nothing for me to do at work. nothing for me to even pretend to be doing. how lame is this? I'm hoping that the fact that my timecard says has 6 hours average of downtime a day will lessen the blow to my boss when I tell him I'm quitting.

Not that I'm quitting just let. I'd rather have a job in the Lou worked out before I move. (paying rent a must)

I went down to Nelly-ville last friday for a job interview. I r-e-a-l-l-y want the job I interviewed for. It's a firm that does a lot of the renovations around the downtown area. They also use sustainable elements when they can. lovely.

I think the interview went alright. I was my usual charming and witty self. The big problem was that I forgot my portfolio. It wasn't a "forget" as much as a "didn't even cross my mind". whoops. I had this black notepad holder with me and I think the guy thought that was my portfolio. double whoops. Luckily I had a 3-d animation that I did of the Texas Stretto House. I love it and I think he was impressed at the fact that it was rendered to a Flaming Lips song.

I try to impress where I can.

So the interview went well. I'm sending out my portfolio today. I would have sent it out Saturday but these past few days have been a bit complex.

After my interview I went out to Danger's house. we had pizza and then came into town to drink some lovely Strongbow (**ON TAP**). Tut and her boy met up with us and a lovely time was had by all in the beer garden. When Tut and boy left to go shack, Danger and I went inside to see if there was anything exciting happening in there. I got picked up on, which is interesting. I NEVER am the one to get picked up on. it's always Danger. Guys might think I'm cute on the walk over, but as soon as they see her I have become a distant memory. So Danger and I were talking with these guys.

Then we went to the rocket bar. fun was had there. danger was passing around eclipse gum in an empty beer pitcher. I didn't even notice until I ran into her in the bathroom. v. humorous.

So I crashed at Danger's house that night and drove back home early Saturday morning.

Instead of cleaning up my portfolio like I thought I would, I fell into a coma. such a lovely coma though. When I woke up I had to get ready for some trivia night thingy that my dad had signed us up for. It was actually interesting and funny. my team consisted of 2 couples that are friends with my parents, my parents, kb, and me. We sucked. so bad it was funny. we were pulling for the booby prize. there was none.

Sunday morning I got up early and packed for Michigan. Picked Tut up and we headed out onto the open road. such a lovely lovely day. And Michigan is SO green! We stopped at the indiana/michigan border and went to an outlet mall. This outlet mall would later end up being my downfall. It is because of all the "great buys" that I now don't have enough dough to pay my credit card & mobile bills. Though I didn't know it at the time. whoops. At least I know I get paid Tuesday and the bills will only be 2 days late.

still pisses me off. such a doofus, I am.

anyway, in A2 I had planned on staying with nice textures. He goes there for grad school in architecture. BUT, when I called him he was all weird on the phone. He very vaguely said that he didn’t think that it would be a good idea for me to stay with him. I was like, “okkaaaay”, didn’t really want to ask why. I could tell he was guilty or something. So, I’m pretty pissed at this point and he’s trying to make polite conversation while I’m driving around town trying to think of what to do next. Then he says that he’ll meet up with us for dinner if we want. Now keep in mind that the reason he gave me why we couldn’t stay with him was that he had a big project to work on. Now if I had such a big project that I was willing to screw over my friends for, I’d probably be working on it and not offering to play.

So we meet him downtown at Amer’s for sandwiches. Then, instead of running back to studio, he gives us a tour of central campus. “Wha wha?” you ask. Yup, “wha wha?” is what Tut and I thought. He showed us around and then we went out to north campus to look at the studios and what-not. It was really neat, but his vagueness kind of put A2 in a sour light. Which sucks, ‘cause the place rocks. But he definitely ruined it a bit.

So Tut and I went to a hotel and ended up paying them too much for us to stay at. The next day we headed into campus so that I could get a proper tour of the school. The lady of the department was really nice and I got to see all this really cool model-making stuff that their shop has. Very impressed, was I. After the tour we headed into downtown for a little walk-about and foody-food.

*really quick, a client is meeting in the conference room right now with new creepy guy and she’s got the best lips ever. Oohheee hee. It’s lovely *

anyway, so we ate some food, had some ice cream, looked at some books, and then headed back for a nappy-nap at the hotel. Love me some naps. Love them so much in fact that we didn’t leave the room until dinnertime. And even then it was just to go across the street/highway to a thai food place. Pretty good pad thai…no Bangkok though. *sniff.

So pretty lazy night. We left for Illinois after eating lunch the next day at the brewery. The drive back seemed to be longer. I think that’s because on the way there I was jumping in my seat and yelling “ANN ARBOR!” every time we saw it on a sign. “SPRINGFIELD” just didn’t have the same ring to it on the way back. Though lord knows I tried.

Yesterday shall be continued later, I actually have a client coming in. woo-hoo
