my body is so tired! I went out for happy hour yesterday with some people from work. It was alright. I stayed for a few beers and then headed over to this BYOB bar that has an acoustic set every thursday. The place is really cool. It is owned by a sculptor and everything in this place has been salvaged from random places all over St. Louis. The outside patio area is so awesome. There's tons of trees and little nooks and this guys sculptures all over the place. AND it is one block down from my house. So when I wanted to go home I just had to skidoodle down the street and i was in my apartment in 4 minutes. J'adore my new apartment.
Luke has been in New Mexico these past few days. He interviewed with the Med. School in Alubuquerque and was so nervous beforehand. According to coversation with him yesterday he said the first one went amazingly. He had a good rapor with the doctor interviewing him. Apparently the 2nd interview wasn't as smooth. The lady didn't really have a personable personality. but she was impressed with his application and academic history.
So good things all around for his visit. And he is currently flying over Kansas right now. I love checking out flight statuses. So much nicer to picture him as being in a small airplane icon as opposed to be big piece of metal.
And as soon as I get home I am going to go buy us some cheap champagne and we are going to celebrate him being done with the interview for the school he wants to get into.
Later this evening we are going to go by here and I am going to make a paperweight. I am very very excited! I will find out that I have a secret talent for glassblowing and will have to quit my job so as to focus on my art.
sleeping in everyday will be hard but I will try my best to embrace my new artistic lifestyle.
