laptop bag needed
2005-09-19 at 9:39 a.m.

is it possible to get a laptop bag that is in backpack form, hip-n-trendy, and under $50? I would also like it to be somewhat small. Like in the vertical variety.

Is this too much to ask? Does anyone have any bag brands that they adore? I've checked out a lot of sites online but usually the bags are WAY too big. I really only need it for my laptop and the occasional folder or book. I can always carry the book even.

And I want it to be cooooool. Why must I have so many materialistic demands? We were asked in class the other day what we would grab if our house caught on fire. I said Luke and Lola. When asked what would I grab if Luke had already grabbed Lola and they were outside I was stumped. I couldn't think of anything. So this is weird because I am so into cute things but I guess I understand I could totally do without.

Still this does not help at all when I can't make up my mind on a freaking bag to carry my laptop in.

argh.

Okay well now I'm heading into school. I've got to do my grunt work for the department. They sucker me into so many things because they're paying my tuition. and I can't complain because THEY'RE PAYING MY TUITION. But sometimes I would like to just spend the entire week actually working on just homework and all of my papers. but no, I need to go in and go over every kept piece of student work and see if it is worthy of being viewed by the accreditation team that is coming in October to judge our program. I cannot believe I got roped into this. I'm a ninny.

Though in other news I am totally pumped about my paper for my Readings course with Goldy. I'm making a really detailed checklist that designers/ developers/ owners can take with them on initial site visits to see the potential of the sustainability of their site. ie. this site would be great for solar energy because of the topography and natural orientation to the southern sun etc etc. WAY pumped. And way on a roll with checking out books from the library. Did you know that graduate students get to chekc out books for FOUR MONTHS?! And I can have up to 500 books checked out at a time! WOW! So I'm excited and my shelf in our office shows it. Luke asked me if I was actually going to read all of the books I had checked out. I replied "yes" very haughtily. (though to be honest I probably won't because I don't have time. I have no willpower when I see books relating to sustainability. I just have-to-have them. It's sad)
