chrissy's coming

yello.
I am currently sitting in my living room waiting to be surprised by a visit from Chrissy. Now a few factors of that last sentence are interesting.
1- sitting in my living room? typing on a computer? that's write. I'm amazing and somehow managed to set up our cable internet to be wireless and now I can play on the internet ANYWHERE in our house!! How cool is that? and I managed to set it up so that it's secure and no one else can play...I think.
2- waiting for Chrissy? YES! Miss Chrissy is interviewing in Kansas City on Monday for a job with the EPA (please cross your fingers that she gets it!). She flew into KC this AM and since she hasn't called yet I am hoping that she is driving her rental car to my house in Columbia because she mentioned that she wanted to surprise me....oh I will be so sad if she calls and says that something came up with the rental car and she's just now checked into her hotel in KC. We were trying to decide whether I would come to KC and we would vacation there or if she would drive to CoMo when she got in and we would vacation here (where it would be cheaper). She said she would call when she got in. She also mentioned that she didn't know which house was mine otherwise she would love to just show up on the doorstep. Well I mentioned that there are only 5 or so houses on my street and so she could find it very easily....so we left it up in the air and now I'm expecting her to show up....
I often do this. Build up my expectations. I hope it pays off here! I tried calling her but she didn't pick up the phone. hopefully that is because she still wants to surprise me.

Anywho. This past week has been pretty nice. It was the first week of Nuke and I's budget. It all worked out okay. Even had money leftover, which we're saving for his birthday celebration in a few weeks. I went to the farmer's market and the store this morning and this week it looks like we don't have as much money for our additional spending. Hopefully it will all work out. I'm worried 'cause I'm going to want to spend money with Chrissy. The restaurants of Columbia are beckoning us. I believe we are going to have to have some bangkok pad thai this evening. it's just too juicy to pass up.
soo there are my financial woes. And I need to be studying for my test on Tuesday but I am too excited for Chrissy's visit.
oh well.
Oh I had two beautiful moments this week that are worth mentioning.
first - Wilco played an outdoor concert downtown this past Wednesday and Lola and I walked down there and I sat for an hour listening to it while sitting at the corner of 9th and Broadway. You had to pay to get "in" to the concert, which was on 9th between Broadway and Locust. But the stage was set up on the Broadway side and so by sitting on the flowerbeds there I got a view of the boys, heard everything clearly, and Lola was able to attend...by sitting at my feet.
second - I was driving back from buying the hardware to make my house wireless and I saw a guy on rollerblades dancing in a parking lot with headphones on. His routinue was complete with air punches and lots of circling and hip swaying. absolutely beautiful
